TOWN OF TOPSFIELD

TREE WARDEN

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 87, Public Shade Tree Law, Section 3 (Cutting of Public Shade Trees; Hearing; Damages), the Town of Topsfield Tree Warden will hold a Public Hearing upon the application of National Grid to prune and remove trees to facilitate overhead construction to improve electric service and reliability for large numbers of customers who will be served by a Boxford-to-Topsfield Feeder Tie-in. All trees proposed for removal are marked in the field with an orange ribbon on the tree trunk.

A complete list of town trees designated for removal is available from the Town Offices and on the Web at www.topsfieldpublicworks.org

The Public Hearing will be held at 1:00 PM, August 4, 2010, at the Public Works Facility, 279 Boston St., Topsfield, MA.

Any person interested or wishing to be heard on the above matter should appear at the time and place designated.
