New water mains will also be installed along Ipswich Road as well as a portion of Haverhill Road, all of Pine Street, parts of Mansion Drive and Woodside Road, and a section of North Street. Significant traffic delays are being encountered during the workday. Please seek an alternate route whenever possible.

The new 12-inch water main on Ipswich Road is now in service. Work on the main began in late April and the final phase of pressure and bacteria testing was just completed this week. Water main on Haverhill Road, Pine Street, Woodside Road, Mansion Drive and North Street still has to be installed or tested. Water customers on Ipswich Road are being fed by the old water main and the contractor will begin connecting their services to the new pipe. Sections of the old pipe will be abandoned as customers are switched over. |
